This one is different. Shepherd's Dream's Organic Wool Pillow is filled with sheets of GOTS certified organic wool batting - not clusters, not shredded fill, but whole batting sheets that hold their shape and distribute weight evenly across the pillow without going lumpy. The encasement is organic cotton sateen: smooth, breathable, and soft against the face. No synthetics, no chemical treatments, no off-gassing.

Wool is naturally thermoregulating, which makes it unusually good as a pillow fill. It stays cooler than memory foam, drier than down, and more supportive than synthetic fiber - wicking moisture away from the face and scalp overnight rather than letting it accumulate. People who run hot in bed or wake with night sweats often find the shift to wool the most effective change they make.

The pillow comes in three fill weights - thin, medium, and thick - because the right loft depends entirely on how you sleep. Side sleepers need more height to keep the neck aligned; back and stomach sleepers need less. The fill compresses 30-40% in the first six months of regular use, so choose one level thicker than you think you need. It can also be aired in the sun to restore some of that loft over time.

GOTS-certified organic wool batting, hand-sewn in whole sheets (not clusters or shredded fill) into an organic cotton sateen encasement. No dyes, no chemical treatments, no off-gassing. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating, moisture-wicking, and resistant to mold, mildew, and dust mites — and it passes flame tests without added chemicals. Expect 30–40% compression in the first six months of regular use.
